The Grand Columbian is committed to creating an event where all athletes have a sense of accomplishment and reward. In recognition for the exceptional course, reputation and community support the race has been awarded age-group championship and/or Grand Prix status numerous times. In 2010, the Half-Iron is once again, the USAT National Championship Qualifier. The Olympic distance race is the Best of the US - Washington State Qualifier. In addition, we have created a few special award categories unique to the Grand Columbian. We are thrilled to again host the North American Club Endurance Award competition -- with over $5,000 in cash and prizes. "Is your club tough enough?"
